Learn how to apply application management services effectively within your organization.
Effective AMS Services
If you manage an application portfolio today, you know the challenges: tighter IT budgets, rising application management services (AMS) costs, meaningful performance improvement targets, mixed technology portfolios, and balancing business requirements while supporting the existing application portfolio. Expectations are high and the demands are great. On any given day, it’s all about service delivery.
Applying data driven metrics allow CIO’s to measure – productivity, cost savings, and maturity levels to achieve greater operational efficiency. Effective Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) allow an IT organization to run according to expectations. Defining suitable KPIs is above all about deciding what exactly is considered a “successful process execution”. Once this is established it becomes possible to determine and measure specific indicators. Process Owners and Controllers are thus in a position to evaluate the quality of their processes, which in turn is the basis for the ongoing optimization and fine-tuning of the process designs.
